Information for the parents
What do I give my child to take with to his/ her first lesson?
- An entire up-to-date equipment (skis or snowboard, helmet, sticks from “Blue King” on or after order of the instructor)
- Skiwear adjusted to the weather (sunglasses/ ski goggles, sun protection, dry gloves)
- Put the ski school ticket in the children's jacket pocket. (If you book online, you can print out the ticket at home and also put it in your jacket pocket or show the confirmation on your smartphone to the ski instructor at Hannigalp).
What else can I regard to ease my child’s start into the ski school?
- Is your child prepared for the temporary separation from its parents?
Let your child be on its own with the instructor during the lessons. That way you give the instructor the chance to acquaint him-/ herself. Observe the lessons from a distance to make sure your child’s attention is with the instructor and not with its reference person. - Be patient and give us some time.
If you cannot see any progress with your child in the first few hours, please give us and your child more time. It is important that your child gets familiar with the new situation on the snow and with the unusual equipment. The fun for skiing and snowboarding is to the fore. - Safety for your child:
Please make sure that there are no ribbons/ ties, scarves or similar things in their way. We advise you to tie your child’s hair. - Inform the instructors about important information:
Does your child have a disease or an allergy (nut allergy)? It is necessary that you let us know about these things, that way we can cater for your specific needs. Important is, that our instructors are informed about it. - Punctuality
Take your child to the gathering place early and pick it up on time. Note that in the main season waiting times at the bottom station of the Hannigalp may occur. The ride of the gondola without any extraordinary stop lasts 10 minutes.
